Webinar: Digital Strategy for Ontario Museums

April 8, 2025

Supporting your 2025-2026 CMOG application

The OMA is hosting Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming representative Elka Weinstein and colleagues Lorrie Ann Smith (Ontario Science Centre), Jennifer Lyons, Danielle McMahon-Jones, and Dave Cox (Glanmore NHS)  on April 8, 2025, at 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm for an informational webinar supporting your upcoming 2025-2026 Community Museum Operating Grant application. As the Ministry noted last year, it is requiring that applicants provide a Digital Strategy this year.

This session will cover the Ministry’s Digital Strategy requirements, which will assess how applicants are working toward enhancing their plans for digital and incorporating them into strategic objectives and plans. Applications do not have to show existing digital offerings, rather strategies should reflect the museum’s overall digital capacity and future goals, to demonstrate that the museum is well positioned to provide digital services moving forward.

This free, 90-minute Zoom webinar is available to all who register. This webinar will be recorded and the recording and slides will be shared after as a resource, including sharing with those who cannot attend live. This webinar will have automated captions available. Please let us know of any other needed accessibility supports during the registration process.
