Ideal candidates will:

- Bring forward-thinking strategies to help QMNH grow sustainably
- Have a passion for education, conservation, and building meaningful connections
Board Member Expectations and Responsibilities
Board Members are expected to:
- Participate in Meetings: Attend approximately 8 meetings annually, including board and committee meetings, each lasting 1-2 hours
- Engage in Committees: Provide expertise and input through committee involvement
- Advocate for QMNH: Be a public ambassador, promoting our mission and expanding our network of supporters
- Support Fundraising Efforts: Actively contribute to building financial sustainability through donor and stakeholder relationships
- Guide Strategic Planning: Shape policies and strategies that ensure QMNH remains visitor-centered and socially responsible
- Commit to a Term: Serve a one-year term with the option to renew

Mission: The Quinte Museum of Natural History is committed to inspiring discovery, conservation, and stewardship of our natural heritage. A visit to a natural history museum sets people on a lifelong course of wonder and excitement regarding the natural world around them. Our mission is to open that door and set imagination alight.
Vision: The Quinte Museum of Natural History’s vision is to be a national and international leader in promoting cultural and scientific engagement and inclusion. We aim to strengthen natural heritage in our communities and fuel creativity through our ethical collecting practices, commitment to stewardship, thoughtfully curated exhibits, and unique educational opportunities.
