About the Canadian Museum of Architecture

The Canadian Museum of Architecture (CMA) is a new institution dedicated to engaging the public in exploring the nature, history and relevance of architecture and to enhancing the general understanding of this discipline, our built environment and its relationship to the natural environment. We are planning to launch our inaugural exhibition to run from July 28 to August 24, 2025 and are seeking a talented Communications Coordinator to help us connect with audiences, media and partners.

Role Overview

The Communications Coordinator will lead the development and execution of marketing and communications strategies to promote the CMA in general and specifically its inaugural exhibition. Working closely with the museum’s leadership and design team, the Coordinator will be responsible for crafting and sharing the museum’s story through digital and traditional media.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and implement a promotional plan for the CMA’s first exhibition

· Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, press releases and the museum’s website

· Manage social media accounts and grow the museum’s online presence

· Coordinate media outreach and track press coverage

· Assist in producing promotional materials (digital and print)

· Liaise with community and cultural partners to amplify visibility

· Provide communications support during public programming and events

Qualifications

· 2+ years experience in communications, marketing or public relations (or relevant equivalent)

· Strong writing and content creation skills

· Familiarity with social media management and email marketing tools

· Experience in arts, culture, or architecture sectors is a plus

· Self-directed, organized and comfortable working with a small startup team

· French/English bilingualism is an asset
