We’re proud to share that, as the next step in a multi-phased project to improve member experience, the OMA has moved our membership portal to Member365. This portal will offer you faster and easier membership renewals and event registrations, and easy access to your payment receipts and invoices, OMA membership card and other benefits.

Membership Category
Individual
Museum or Cultural Worker
An individual who is working or who has been working in a paid or unpaid capacity in a museum or cultural organization in Ontario; or an individual who is or has been a trustee of a museum or cultural organization in Ontario.

Colleague
An individual employed at an institution that is an OMA member in good standing.

Supporting
An individual who is interested in supporting the mission and the objectives of the OMA, but who is not eligible for membership in other categories.

Student
An individual enrolled full-time in a museum studies, arts administration or any other educational program in Ontario.

Institutional
An Ontario museum which falls within the definition of a museum as outlined in the Letters Patent, or any organization which is legally incorporated and professionally related to the mission and objectives of the Ontario Museum Association.
Institutional membership fees are based on annual operating budgets. This structure takes into consideration the varying operating budgets of our members and reflects the capacity of each member institution.
Small
For organizations with operating budgets of less than $165,000.

Medium
For organizations with operating budgets between $165,000 and $2.1 million.
Annual membership fees are determined as a percentage (0.007%) of your museum’s reported annual operating budget.

For organizations with operating budgets over $2.1 million.

Commercial
Consultant
An individual who derives income from selling products or services to the museum sector.

Corporate
A corporation or business which is interested in supporting the mission and objectives of the Ontario Museum Association.
